In a world where international borders are increasingly becoming blurred, parents need to be aware of the rights they and their children have.

We specialise in helping those who find themselves in the position of having children removed from them or parents who feel they have no option but to remove children from their own Country.

The principle legislation is contained in:-

The Hague Convention 1980
Brussells II (Revised)

or under the Inherent jurisdiction of the High Court.

In relation to Pakistan, the UK Government has entered into the UK-Pakistan Protocol. Whilst not legislation, there is authority for reciprocal arrangements regarding children, between the UK and Pakistan.

If you believe your child is about to be taken abroad without your consent, you may apply to the Court for preventative action, such as a prohibited steps order and residence order. You may also consider applying to the passport agency for further passports not to be issued.

However, if you find out that your child has been removed abroad you need to act quickly. Time is of essence. The court proceedings for your child to be returned to you as soon as possible take place in the High Court of Justice. We can represent you in these proceedings and advise you of the correct procedure.

You may on the other hand be a parent of a child who has been removed from your care to England and Wales and may or may not yet have been located by the Authorities. We can advise you in relation to any proceedings issued against you.
